Excellent volunteer opportunity with an organization on the front lines of the opioid epidemic.  We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a passion for helping those with substance use disorders. You would be responsible for approval of agency polices, finances and goals. You would regularly evaluate and review agency operations and would adopt bylaws and ensure the agency operates within them. Applicants should have specific experience and/or knowledge in at least one element: administration, finance, personnel, program development, evaluation, public relations or communications.  Available time needed is at least one Monday per month to attend regular meetings. Prevention Specialist – Full-Time

Entry level prevention position with duties that include implementation of activities of the Primary Prevention Enhancement grant for Horry County.  This position utilizes the Strategic Prevention Framework Model.  Responsible for fulfilling the duties of the grant. This position includes working with youth on prevention strategies, increasing participation in the youth advisory board, and implementing two evidence-based programs with clients and students.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in related field and related experience is preferred. Provisional/In-process as a Certified Prevention Specialist is required post-employment.

NOTE: Must have availability to work nights and weekends.

Peer Recovery Coach – Full-Time

Acts as a liaison between Shoreline Behavioral Health Services and Tidelands Health Emergency Department to coordinate services for emergency room patients identified as having a substance use disorder.  Provides and coordinates referrals, assists clients, provides health education to clients on topics such as substance use and provides case management services.  Documents all attempts to link clients to care, conducts surveys at prescribed intervals, facilitates transportation for clients as needed and works closely with both Shoreline and emergency department staff.

NOTE: This is a full-time, grant-funded position, and will be located at Shoreline Behavioral Health Services in Conway initially but will eventually be located full-time in the Tidelands Health Emergency Department. Once located in the Tidelands Health Emergency Department, the ideal candidate must be available for 2nd shift work weekdays and/or weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Must be in recovery with at least 1 year of abstinence/sobriety. Peer Support Credentials preferred.

Custodian – Part-Time

Duties include ensuring spaces are prepared for clients and employees by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces. Custodian will also be responsible for keeping a running inventory of all cleaning supplies and submitting purchasing request when supplies are low. Performing routine cleaning tasks based on a schedule such as sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors. Washing and sanitizing toilets and sinks as well as restocking soap and paper products. Wiping mirrors and windows. Sweeping off sidewalks and front covered area. Emptying trash and smoking receptables and bagging for proper disposal. Preparing rooms for different events. Monitoring building and reporting problems as they arise. Touching up paint and changing lightbulbs as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED required. Ability to understand and follow safety procedures regarding cleaning and supplies, as well as operate vacuums and other related cleaning equipment.

Assessment Counselor – Part-Time

Duties include completion of diagnostic assessments in an outpatient facility as well as crisis management for those who have been identified as having a substance use disorder (SUD).

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in human service-related field. Previous experience with SUD clients preferred.  Applicant must possess excellent documentation and time-management skills.

Clinical Counselor / DSS Liaison – Full-Time

Working with DSS assisting in evaluation of substance problems and home situations, facilitating referrals to Shoreline and coordinating and improving information sharing between the two entities. Duties also include completion of diagnostic assessments regarding client need for substance-related treatment; group, individual and family counseling; and treatment and discharge planning.

QUALIFICATIONS: LPC, LISW-CP, LMFT, LMSW, or Master’s degree in human service-related field and working toward licensure preferred. Applicant must be willing to explore and learn cutting-edge treatment modalities and possess excellent documentation and time-management skills. Experience working with adolescents and the family unit is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS: LPC, LISW-CP, LMFT, LMSW, or Master’s degree in human service-related field and working toward licensure preferred. Applicant must be willing to explore and learn cutting-edge treatment modalities and possess excellent documentation and time-management skills. Certified in or willing to be trained in evidenced based programs including A-CRA (Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach). Experience working with adolescents and the family unit is preferred.
