PFS Community Liaison – Prevention Department – Full-time

Entry level prevention position requiring the development of relationships necessary for the growth and success of the Strategic Prevention Framework-Partnership for Success Grant for Shoreline BHS.  The Community Liaison will work with community organizations/businesses such as Coastal Carolina University, Horry Georgetown Technical College, Horry County School District, DHEC, Coroner’s Office, local law enforcement departments, and more to reduce alcohol use and prescription drug use among youth.

NOTE: This is a grant-funded position and applicant must have flexibility to work nights and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree required and some related experience preferred.  Prevention, clinical and/or drug/alcohol experience a plus; Demonstrated capacity to inspire others to engage in community issues; Strong collaborator, able to adapt quickly to changing situations. Provisional/In-Process as a Certified Prevention Specialist is required.

Peer Recovery Coach – Emergency Department – Full-time

Acts as a liaison between Shoreline Behavioral Health Services and the Emergency Department to coordinate services for emergency room patients identified as having a substance use disorder. Provides and coordinates referrals, assists clients, provides health education to clients on topics such as substance use and provides case management services. Documents all attempts to link clients to care, conducts surveys at prescribed intervals, facilitates transportation for clients as needed and works closely with both Shoreline and Emergency Department staff.

NOTE: This is a full-time, grant-funded position and will be located at Shoreline Behavioral Health Services in Conway initially but will eventually be located full-time in the Emergency Department in Myrtle Beach.

QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor’s degree in human services and be in recovery with at least 1 year of abstinence/sobriety is required. Peer Support Credentials preferred. Requires basic computer skills and ability to accurately collect and report data. Must be compassionate and nonjudgmental, culturally competent, a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience with SUD and mental health clients preferred.

Clinical Counselor – Inpatient Facility – Part-Time

Shoreline Behavioral Health Services is seeking a part-time Clinical Counselor at the Women’s Recovery Center, a 10-bed residential treatment facility. Duties include completion of diagnostic assessments, groups, individual & family counseling, treatment and discharge planning. Providing supportive services to residents to include meal planning, medication observation, transportation and case management needs.

NOTE: Applicant must be willing to work Saturday and Sunday regularly. Each shift is approximately 6 hours. 

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in human service-related field and working toward licensure. Applicant must be willing to explore and learn cutting-edge treatment modalities and possess excellent documentation and time-management skills. Must be able to work independently and as a team member.

Substance Abuse Specialist- Inpatient Facility – Part-Time

Shoreline Behavioral Health Services is seeking a part-time Substance Abuse Specialist at the Women’s Recovery Center, a 10-bed residential treatment facility. Duties include facilitation of evening groups in addition to individual counseling sessions. Providing supportive services to residents to include meal planning, medication observation, transportation and case management needs.

NOTE: Applicant must be willing to commit to 1 and occasionally 2 overnight shifts weekly – every Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday with some flexibility when needed. Each shift is 5 hours.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in human services is required. Experience working with substance use disorder. Applicant must be willing to explore and learn cutting-edge treatment modalities and possess excellent documentation and time-management skills. Must be able to work independently and as a team member.

Clinical Counselor- Outpatient Facility – Full-Time

Duties include completion of diagnostic assessments in an outpatient facility as well crisis management, group, individual, and family counseling with adolescents who have been identified as having a substance use disorder. Must be able to work independently and as a team member and possess excellent time-management skills.

QUALIFICATIONS: LPC, LISW-CP, LMFT, LMSW, or Master’s degree in human service-related field and working toward licensure. Applicant must be willing to explore and learn cutting-edge treatment modalities and possess excellent documentation and time-management skills. Certified in or willing to be trained in evidenced based programs including A-CRA (Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach). Experience working with adolescents and the family unit is preferred.
