Assistant Coordinator – Inpatient – Full-time

The Assistant Coordinator of the Women’s Recovery Center is a full-time position that assists with providing the management, administrative and general day-to-day supervision of SBHS’s Women’s Recovery Center. Assists the Coordinator of Women’s Recovery Center to identify and intervene in the pattern of substance abuse or dependency through supportive services to alcohol and drug abuse dependent clients and their families. Assists with providing administrative leadership, guidance, training and expertise to staff and clients. Assists with groups and individual therapy of clients and their families. Responsible for adhering to agency values, cultural and ethical expectations and for communicating these expectations to others. Ability and willingness to work weekends within a rotation and as needed required.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in the human service-related field required and 1-year related experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Willing to start the ADC (Alcohol and Drug Counselor Certification) process, if not already in process.

Peer Support Specialist – Inpatient – Part-time

The Peer Support Specialist is a part-time position that aids clients in establishing continued recovery from substance use disorders. This position promotes recovery, self-sufficiency, and maintenance of skills learned in other services. The PSS will assist in completing referrals to treatment services and coordinating services to promote successful linkage to community resources. The PSS will utilize their own recovery experience and principles of recovery management to provide ongoing support to clients in crisis or potential crisis.

Note: This position requires employee to be a participant on an on-call rotation schedule and willingness to work nights and weekends.

 QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED and certified as a Peer Support Specialist or working towards certification. Must be in recovery with at least 1 year of abstinence/sobriety.

Intensive Case Manager – Outpatient – Full-time

This is an entry level clinical position requiring the provision of Intensive Case Management services to a target population of agency clients to assist them in gaining access to needed medical, social, educational and other services through assessment, care planning, referral and linkage and monitoring and follow-up.

Duties include working closely with OUD (Opioid Use Disorders) clients in IOP, aftercare and involved in Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) to identify and address their Psycho-Social Rehabilitation (PRS) needs (treatment, recovery and follow-up deficits). Follow-up with clients diagnosed with OUD who have disengaged from treatment to re-engage them in services. Establish and conduct peer support services for Shoreline clients and appropriate family members who have Moderate to Severe Opioid Use Disorders. Regularly sit-in on treatment groups to provide support and role model success in recovery. Assist clients to gain access to Medication Assisted Treatment.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services field required. Related experience with Substance Use Disorders (SUD) population preferred; excellent written and communications skills; Certified Peer Support Specialist certification or working towards certification.

Nurse Practitioner – Full-time

Shoreline BHS is seeking a nurse practitioner (NP) who functions as a member of the treatment team to deliver direct patient care with opioid addiction and substance use disorders (SUD).

Duties include assessment to determine medication and treatment needs. Prescribing medications and treatments with attention to existing medical diagnoses and concomitant therapies. Meet with patients in a timely manner in order to monitor and evaluate progress and recommend necessary changes to their medication assisted treatment interventions. Document all evaluations of and interactions with patients including administration of medications and treatments in compliance with regulatory standards established by governing bodies. Work collaboratively with internal team members including counselors, referral sources and external service providers to ensure appropriate patients’ progress and treatment plans and ensure continuity of care after discharge. Complete all direct service EHR documentation according to department standards and timelines. Ensure understanding of Evaluation and Management procedures as well as procedure coding to ascertain proper billing for patients and appropriate financial billings. Acquire knowledge and demonstrate use of the most up to date evidence-based practices in the field. Pursue professional development trainings and education that support agency mission, values and strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of an accredited nurse practitioner program with the ability to practice as a licensed nurse practitioner without limitations in the state of South Carolina required. Buprenorphine waiver to treat 100+ patients and previous addiction experience in the treatment of opioid and SUD preferred.

Case Manager – Inpatient – Full-time

This entry-level clinical position requires the provision of case management services to SBHS clients located at the Women’s Recovery Center, a 10 bed-residential treatment facility. The case manager will help clients in facilitating their access to needed services including medical, social, educational, and other services determined through assessment, care planning, referral and linkage as well as documenting the process using approved guidelines. In addition, the case manager will provide supportive services to clients to include meal planning, medication observation and transportation needs.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in the Human Services field, at least one year of documented experience working with individuals with psychoactive substance disorders. A working knowledge of families and/or systems theory, knowledge of community resources, and training in crisis intervention, effective communication and cultural diversity/competency is preferred.

Peer Recovery Coach – Emergency Department – Full-time

Acts as a liaison between Shoreline Behavioral Health Services and the Emergency Department to coordinate services for emergency room patients identified as having a substance use disorder. Provides and coordinates referrals, assists clients, provides health education to clients on topics such as substance use and provides case management services. Documents all attempts to link clients to care, conducts surveys at prescribed intervals, facilitates transportation for clients as needed and works closely with both Shoreline and Emergency Department staff.

NOTE: This is a full-time, grant-funded position and will be located at Shoreline Behavioral Health Services in Conway initially but will eventually be located full-time in the Emergency Department in Myrtle Beach.

QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor’s degree in human services and be in recovery with at least 1 year of abstinence/sobriety is required. Peer Support Credentials preferred. Requires basic computer skills and ability to accurately collect and report data. Must be compassionate and nonjudgmental, culturally competent, a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience with SUD and mental health clients preferred.

Duties include completion of diagnostic assessments in an outpatient facility as well crisis management, group, individual, and family counseling with adolescents who have been identified as having a substance use disorder. QUALIFICATIONS: LPC, LISW-CP, LMFT, LMSW, or Master’s degree in human service-related field and working toward licensure. Applicant must be willing to explore and learn cutting-edge treatment modalities and possess excellent documentation and time-management skills. Certified in or willing to be trained in evidenced based programs including A-CRA (Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach). Experience working with adolescents and the family unit is preferred.
