Master’s Level Clinical Internship – Unpaid
The unpaid Clinical Intern at Shoreline BHS will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of behavioral health services to individuals and families in need. Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a master’s degree program with a bachelor’s degree in the human services field (e.g., psychology, social work, counseling).
Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting client assessments and evaluations to identify needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Participate in case management meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Support clients in accessing resources and services that promote their well-being and independence.
- Document client interactions and progress in accordance with agency policies and confidentiality standards.

Digital Marketing Internship – Unpaid
About Us: We are seeking a motivated and creative Digital Marketing Intern to join our dynamic team. Our mission at Shoreline Behavioral Health Services is to address the problem of alcohol and substance use disorders in Horry County by providing individualized, recovery-based treatment and community prevention services. Shoreline Behavioral Health envisions a system of care in which problems arising from the use of substances and addiction in our county are prevented using a combination of public education and early intervention strategies. Note: This position requires some days working in-person at our agency located in Conway, SC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns across multiple platforms such as Tik Tok, Reels and Video formats.
- Conduct research on industry trends and competitor strategies to inform marketing decisions.
- Support SEO initiatives by optimizing website content and analyzing performance metrics.
- Create engaging content for social media channels to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Utilize Google Analytics and other advertising/data tools to help manage online presence.
- Analyze data to measure campaign effectiveness and provide insights for improvement.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for innovative marketing strategies and initiatives.
Qualifications:

Peer Recovery Coach (Tidelands) – Full-Time
Acts as a liaison between Shoreline Behavioral Health Services and Tidelands Health Emergency Department to coordinate services for emergency room patients identified as having a substance use disorder. Provides and coordinates referrals, assists clients, provides health education to clients on topics such as substance use and provides case management services. Documents all attempts to link clients to care, conducts surveys at prescribed intervals, facilitates transportation for clients as needed and works closely with both Shoreline and emergency department staff.
NOTE: This is a full-time, grant-funded position, and will be located at Shoreline Behavioral Health Services in Conway initially but will eventually be located full-time in the Tidelands Health Emergency Department. Applicant must be available to work evening hours and weekends as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be in recovery with at least 1 year of abstinence/sobriety. Peer Support Credentials preferred. Requires basic computer skills and ability to accurately collect and report data. Must be compassionate and nonjudgmental, culturally competent, a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience with SUD and mental health clients preferred.
Assessment Counselor – Part-Time
Duties include completion of diagnostic assessments in an outpatient facility as well as crisis management for those who have been identified as having a substance use disorder (SUD).
NOTE: Applicant must be available Monday through Wednesday from 9am – 3pm and Friday from 9am – 2pm.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in human service-related field. Previous experience with SUD clients preferred. Applicant must possess excellent documentation and time-management skills.
Licensed Clinical Counselor – Full-time

We are dedicated to providing compassionate and accessible care within our community and adjoining areas.
We are seeking a full-time licensed clinical counselor to join our clinical team who is motivated by a passion to help individuals and families struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. Applicant must be willing and available to work five days a week (M-F) to include some evening hours, as needed. This position is housed within our outpatient clinic in Conway, SC.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Provides individual and group counseling
- Completes biopsychosocial assessments during open access, as needed
- Provides crisis intervention services to call-in and walk-in clients, as needed
- Assists other clinical staff with staffing cases, placement decisions, and treatment methods/materials
- Able to learn and implement evidence-based treatment modalities
- Contributes effectively as a team member, participating in weekly team meetings, sharing ideas, and communicating with supervisors and other team members
- Maintains accurate records as required by OSUS, Medicaid and agency policy/procedures, as assigned
- Maintains current licensures and/or certification necessary for the position
- Maintains client charts according to quality standards regarding clinical content and timely entry as established by OSUS, Medicaid and agency policy/procedures
- Provides the required amount of direct service time each week
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
