Prevention Specialist – Full-Time

Entry level prevention position with duties that include implementation of activities of the Primary Prevention Enhancement grant for Horry County.  This position utilizes the Strategic Prevention Framework Model.  Responsible for fulfilling the duties of the grant. This position includes working with youth on prevention strategies, increasing participation in the youth advisory board, and implementing two evidence-based programs with clients and students.

NOTE: Applicant must have flexibility to work nights and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree required and some related experience preferred. Prevention, clinical and/or drug/alcohol experience a plus; Demonstrated capacity to inspire others to engage in community issues; Strong collaborator, able to adapt quickly to changing situations. Provisional/In-Process as a Certified Prevention Specialist is required post-employment.

MAT Clerical Assistant – Full-Time

This position is to aid the MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment) Grant Program with completing administrative duties. Such duties include gathering personal information and setting up a client record in Carelogic. While performing the Point of Entry, you will strictly adhere to 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPPA privacy policies as well as ensure complete and accurate data entry. Providing clerical support to MAT providers, clinical staff, and management to include reviewing and completing required agency documentation, answering telephone, performing drug screens and breathalyzer services, assisting clients with questions, and scanning medical records. Ensuring all agency MAT forms are completed and client data is recorded prior to client seeing provider. Tracking agency grant funds (gas cards, bus passes, pharmacy information, etc.) and documenting this information monthly. Monitoring client’s program history to ensure MAT program is keyed for accurate tracking. Assisting with MAT billing and keying as needed. Meeting with individual clients to complete financial assessments.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years’ clerical experience. Medical office experience preferred. Must be organized and possess excellent time-management skills while working in a fast-paced front office environment.

Lead Peer Recovery Coach – Full-Time

Acts as a liaison between Shoreline Behavioral Health Services and the Emergency Department to coordinate services for emergency room patients identified as having a substance use disorder. Provides and coordinates referrals, assists clients, provides health education to clients on topics such as substance use and provides case management services. Documents all attempts to link clients to care, conducts surveys at prescribed intervals, facilitates transportation for clients as needed and works closely with both Shoreline and emergency department staff. In addition, this position will involve splitting time between both hospital sites to ensure the protocols are being followed by all peer staff within the hospital and supervise operations on the site while reporting directly to the program supervisor.

NOTE: This is a full-time, grant-funded position. Applicant will be located at Shoreline Behavioral Health Services in Conway initially but will eventually be located full-time in the Emergency Department in Myrtle Beach and Murrells Inlet. Once located in the Emergency Department, the ideal candidate must be available for shift work weekdays and/or weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in human services field required, Master’s preferred. Must be in recovery with at least 2 years of abstinence/sobriety. Peer Support Credentials preferred.

Must have basic computer skills and ability to accurately collect and report data. Must be compassionate and nonjudgmental, culturally competent, a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience with SUD and mental health clients preferred.

Clerical Assistant – Part-Time

This role is to provide an initial contact point with the client in order to gather personal information and set up a client record in Carelogic.  While performing the Point of Entry, you will strictly adhere to 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPPA privacy policies as well as ensure complete and accurate data entry. Duties also include clerical support to clinical staff and management, review and complete required agency documentation, answer telephone, perform drug screens, assist clients with questions, scan medical records, and perform other administrative duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years’ clerical experience. Must be organized and possess excellent time-management skills while working in a fast-paced front office environment. Candidate must also be willing to serve as a substitute front office personnel at our Forestbrook location.

Clinical Counselor – Outpatient Facility – Full-Time

Duties include completion of diagnostic assessments in an outpatient facility as well crisis management, group, individual, and family counseling with adolescents who have been identified as having a substance use disorder. Must be able to work independently and as a team member and possess excellent time-management skills.

QUALIFICATIONS: LPC, LISW-CP, LMFT, LMSW, or Master’s degree in human service-related field and working toward licensure preferred. Applicant must be willing to explore and learn cutting-edge treatment modalities and possess excellent documentation and time-management skills. Certified in or willing to be trained in evidenced based programs including A-CRA (Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach). Experience working with adolescents and the family unit is preferred.
