PFS-SPF Community Liaison – Full-Time

Entry level prevention position requiring the development of relationships necessary for the growth and success of the Strategic Prevention Framework-Partnership for Success Grant for Shoreline BHS.  The Community Liaison will work with community organizations/businesses such as Coastal Carolina University, Horry Georgetown Technical College, Horry County School District, DHEC, Coroner’s Office, local law enforcement departments, and more to reduce alcohol use and prescription drug use among youth.

NOTE: This is a grant-funded position and applicant must have flexibility to work nights and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree required; preferably in Communications, Public Relations or Public Health as well as some related experience. Prevention and/or drug/alcohol experience a plus; Demonstrated capacity to inspire others to engage in community issues; Ability to communicate clearly and effectively; Strong collaborator who is able to adapt quickly to changing situations. Provisional/In-Process as a Certified Prevention Specialist is required.

Clerical Assistant – Part-Time & Full-Time

This role is to provide an initial contact point with the client in order to gather personal information and set up a client record in Carelogic.  While performing the Point of Entry, you will strictly adhere to 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPPA privacy policies as well as ensure complete and accurate data entry. Duties also include clerical support to clinical staff and management, review and complete required agency documentation, answer telephone, perform drug screens, assist clients with questions, scan medical records, and perform other administrative duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years’ clerical experience. Must be organized and possess excellent time-management skills while working in a fast-paced front office environment. Candidate must also be willing to serve as a substitute front office personnel at our Forestbrook location.

Research Assistant – Full-Time

Research Assistant on a multi-site, federally funded, randomized controlled trial evaluating different treatment combinations (medications and smart phone app-based behavioral interventions) for adults with opioid use disorder.  The research assistant will prescreen potential study participants, obtain informed consent for research, perform research assessments, including EEGs, collect and test urine for pregnancy and drugs.  Perform data entry and assist the Research Coordinator and Principal Investigator in all other aspects of the trial.  Training in how to conduct clinical research by personnel from the Medical University of South Carolina.  Although prior research experience is helpful, it is not required

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree is required.  Although prior research experience is helpful, it is not required. Must have good organization and communication skills, as well as motivation, commitment and reliability are essential. Must have ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, sponsors, other health care professionals and community partners.

Clinical Counselor – Outpatient Facility – Full-Time

Duties include completion of diagnostic assessments in an outpatient facility as well crisis management, group, individual, and family counseling with adolescents who have been identified as having a substance use disorder. Must be able to work independently and as a team member and possess excellent time-management skills.

QUALIFICATIONS: LPC, LISW-CP, LMFT, LMSW, or Master’s degree in human service-related field and working toward licensure. Applicant must be willing to explore and learn cutting-edge treatment modalities and possess excellent documentation and time-management skills. Certified in or willing to be trained in evidenced based programs including A-CRA (Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach). Experience working with adolescents and the family unit is preferred.
