Certified Medical Assistant – Full-time

Shoreline BHS is seeking a certified medical assistant (CMA) who functions as a member of the treatment team. Under supervision, assists providers and clinicians with patient care of opioid addiction and substance use disorders (SUD).

Duties include recording patient data prior to office visits including but not limited to taking and recording vital signs, current medications, and medical histories. Completing urine analysis drug screens, blood draws, breathalyzer, and pregnancy testing as directed by the provider. Triage patient phone calls as needed, manage patient medication refill requests and document information appropriately in the patient’s medical record. Pulling test orders from requisition or pulling orders from database, as well as managing standing orders. Administrative duties include scheduling appointments, requesting, and sending medical records, addressing voicemail messages and mail as directed by the provider (copying, faxing, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS:  High school diploma. Medical Assistant/Phlebotomy Certification from an accredited teaching establishment is required; 2 years of medical assisting work experience is required. Must be able to interact with patients in a courteous, helpful and compassionate manner.

PFS Project Coordinator – Full-time

The PFS-SPF Project Coordinator is a full-time, grant funded position within the Prevention Department at Shoreline Behavioral Health Services. The Project Coordinator will plan, organize and coordinate substance use prevention activities and programs in Horry County.  The Coordinator will implement the PFS strategic plan, utilizing the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF) model, which entails comprehensive community level assessment, capacity building, planning, implementation and evaluation.  The Project Coordinator will collaborate with coalition members and community partners to ensure effective implementation of programs.  He/she will provide and coordinate professional development trainings on substance use prevention practices and strategies.  This is a five-year grant which focuses on reducing underage alcohol use and opioid use in Horry County.  This position would supervise the PFS Community Liaison under this grant.

 QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s Degree required and related experience.  Prevention, clinical and/or drug/alcohol experience needed; Demonstrated capacity to inspire others to engage in community issues; Strong collaborator, able to adapt quickly to changing situations. Provisional/In-Process as a Certified Prevention Specialist is required.

Nurse Practitioner – Full-time

Shoreline BHS is seeking a nurse practitioner (NP) who functions as a member of the treatment team to deliver direct patient care with opioid addiction and substance use disorders (SUD).

Duties include assessment to determine medication and treatment needs. Prescribing medications and treatments with attention to existing medical diagnoses and concomitant therapies. Meet with patients in a timely manner in order to monitor and evaluate progress and recommend necessary changes to their medication assisted treatment interventions. Document all evaluations of and interactions with patients including administration of medications and treatments in compliance with regulatory standards established by governing bodies. Work collaboratively with internal team members including counselors, referral sources and external service providers to ensure appropriate patients’ progress and treatment plans and ensure continuity of care after discharge. Complete all direct service EHR documentation according to department standards and timelines. Ensure understanding of Evaluation and Management procedures as well as procedure coding to ascertain proper billing for patients and appropriate financial billings. Acquire knowledge and demonstrate use of the most up to date evidence-based practices in the field. Pursue professional development trainings and education that support agency mission, values and strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of an accredited nurse practitioner program with the ability to practice as a licensed nurse practitioner without limitations in the state of South Carolina required. Buprenorphine waiver to treat 100+ patients and previous addiction experience in the treatment of opioid and SUD preferred.

Shoreline Behavioral Health Services is seeking a full-time Clinical Counselor at the Women’s Recovery Center, a 10-bed residential treatment facility. Duties include completion of diagnostic assessments, groups, individual & family counseling, treatment and discharge planning. Providing supportive services to residents to include meal planning, medication observation, transportation and case management needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:  LPC, LISW-CP, LMFT, LMSW, or Master’s degree in human service-related field and working toward licensure.  Applicant must be willing to explore and learn cutting-edge treatment modalities and possess excellent documentation and time-management skills. Must be able to work independently and as a team member.

NOTE: Applicant must be flexible over 7 days a week and must be able to work weekends, evenings and some overnight shifts.

Shoreline Behavioral Health Services is seeking a part-time Clinical Counselor at the Women’s Recovery Center, a 10-bed residential treatment facility. Duties include completion of PRS groups, individual & family counseling, treatment and discharge planning. Providing supportive services to residents to include meal planning, medication observation, transportation and case management needs.

NOTE: Applicant must have shift and weekend flexibility as well as be willing to participate in an on call rotation schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in human service-related field required. Applicant must be willing to explore and learn cutting-edge treatment modalities and possess excellent documentation and time-management skills. Must be able to work independently and as a team member.

Clinical Counselor – Outpatient Facility – Full-Time

Duties include completion of diagnostic assessments in an outpatient facility as well crisis management, group, individual, and family counseling with adolescents who have been identified as having a substance use disorder. Must be able to work independently and as a team member and possess excellent time-management skills.

QUALIFICATIONS: LPC, LISW-CP, LMFT, LMSW, or Master’s degree in human service-related field and working toward licensure. Applicant must be willing to explore and learn cutting-edge treatment modalities and possess excellent documentation and time-management skills. Certified in or willing to be trained in evidenced based programs including A-CRA (Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach). Experience working with adolescents and the family unit is preferred.
